All vehicle rentals in Caerphilly are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive upon booking confirmation or at the time of vehicle collection. This document outlines the specific terms, conditions, insurance coverage, charges, and your obligations for the rental. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Requirements for Vehicle Rental
- To hire a vehicle in Caerphilly, you must be at least 21 years old, though age restrictions may differ based on vehicle type, with extra charges for drivers under 25. A valid driving licence for the appropriate vehicle category is required, along with identification and proof of your current address. Booking and Payment Process
- Reservations can be made via our website, by telephone, or in person at our Caerphilly office. A deposit may be required to confirm your booking. Full payment and a security deposit are usually collected at the time of vehicle pick-up. Prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely through trusted payment providers.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of vehicle collection, a thorough inspection is required to identify any existing damage, which must be reported immediately. Any damage or loss is your responsibility up to the insurance excess amount, unless covered by extra insurance. Damage resulting from negligence or misuse remains your responsibility, irrespective of insurance coverage.
6. Modifications and Cancellations
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice period provided. For precise information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Keep in mind that late cancellations or no-shows could incur additional charges.
Prohibited Activities
Restrictions on Vehicle Use
- Use of the vehicle for illegal activities is prohibited. This includes racing, rallying, off-roading, or any other dangerous driving practices. Transporting hazardous materials is not allowed. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is forbidden. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited. Additionally, do not exceed passenger or weight limits, and avoid driving outside the agreed geographical boundaries without prior approval.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and fees.
8. Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire in Caerphilly will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or loss of profits, data, or business resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the rental amount paid in the previous 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence, or for fraudulent activities.

These Terms are regulated by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts.
10. Modifications to Terms
